They have also been designed to fit modern mattresses, no more struggling to pull a fitted sheet over that last corner or fighting over the top sheet! Our fabric: We use a true 500 thread count, 100% cotton sateen to provide a silky smooth feel. Our sateen weave with extra-long staple cotton is considered the best combination to provide luxurious sheets. What do we mean by true 500 thread count? Most brands measure thread count in 10 x 10cm instead of the international standard of per square inch. This allows them to display a considerably higher thread count (up to 25%). At Eiderdown, we have only used the international standard giving you a true per square inch 500 thread count.
